Joe Autry, poet, sculptor, painter, enjoys the silence of his movements while creating his artwork because they create positive energy. Joe works in wood, stone and steel and sees the endless possiblities in these mediums. While creating he seems to enter a timeless trance and glides on grace. Joe gets a sense that he is on the horizon as he strives to see what is possible with each piece of art. Seeing the connections between the physical and metaphysical is the magic. Joe is very earth conscious and never cuts a tree for art, he uses pieces already fallen and uses recycled materials whenever possible. The elements; earth, wind, fire and water, influence him greatly. With the support of his wife, Kris and his daughter, Estella, he creates at his best. Good music is always a muse.
